Course Description and Objectives:

• This course provides practising teachers as well as teachers in training the opportunity to converge current trends and research in 2^nd language acquisition with the needs and practicalities of the language classroom.
• Students will explore the changing roles of modern-day teachers and consider their own place within the context of their teaching situation and experience, and how this might affect the students in their care.
• The aim of the course is to equip teachers with a foundation of knowledge so that they can make effective decisions and justify those decisions with confidence in their work as teachers with regards to lesson planning, project work, strategy training, and online teaching as well as hybrid or flipped or blended teaching.
